ELŻBIETA  I - OSTATNIA WŁADCZYNI DYNASTII TUDORÓW

Elizabeth I (7 September 1533 – 24 March 1603) was Queen of England and Queen of Ireland from 17 November 1558 until her death. Elizabeth was the fifth and last monarch of the Tudor dynasty. The daughter of Henry VIII, she was born a princess, but her mother, Anne Boleyn, was executed two and a half years after her birth, and Elizabeth was declared illegitimate. When Elizabeth became Queen in 1558, England was a weak, divided country. But during the 45 years she was in power, Elizabeth brought her nation together and England's position became stronger. She once said that although she had the body of a women, she had the heart and stomach of a king. Elizabeth never married. Elizabeth Tudor is considered by many to be the greatest monarch in English history. She ruled alone for nearly half a century.
